THE WHY
We started Trio Groms because of one kid: ours.
Three things stacked into how his brain works: anxiety, ADHD and autism. That's the Trio. For a long time it felt like the world saw those three things as three things working against him. We see it differently. A triangle is the strongest shape there is. Three points, holding each other up, nothing that can bend it out of shape. That's him.
He just wants to look like a grom: a surfer, a skater, a sporty kid, out there with his mates, fitting in exactly as much as he wants to. His brain working differently is genuinely something to be proud of. Proud doesn't mean he has to stand out like a sore thumb every time he gets dressed.
So that's what we built. Clothing that looks like every other kid's favourite tee, because it should, with something underneath it that says we see you, we get it, and you don't have to explain yourself to anyone.
We don't take any of this too seriously. We're just out here giving it our best shot, same as every kid figuring out how to be themselves in a world that doesn't always make that easy.
